The Arena Market & Cafe is a membership organization. While membership isn't necessary to shop at the Arena Market & Cafe, only members receive coop benefits. Co-op membership is open to all.
While many grocery stores offer discounts to customers who agree to carry the store's club-member card when they shop, Coastal Organics Co-op members literally own the Arena Market & Cafe, so membership benefits extend beyond the discount.On the very first day you shop in our new store, you'll begin to see a return on your investment.
There are several ways that your ownership will be beneficial when making your purchases at our store. Ultimately you, the member, get to decide on our membership benefit package. But for now here is our initial benefit package:
Own a piece of your cooperative, elect the Board of Directors, and carry a vote in the annual Membership Meeting.
Receive a 5% discount on purchases all the time.
Receive even greater discounts on Members Appreciation Days.
Take advantage of case lot or bulk purchase discounts.
Receive discounts at participating local businesses.
Receive patronage refunds based upon your total purchases for the year in a surplus year.
Get the satisfaction of supporting a democratic cooperative as well as natural and sustainable farming practices.
